Benefits of Bihar Private Tube Well Scheme

There are many benefits of Bihar Private Tube Well Scheme 2024, some of which are as follows:-

• The maximum benefit of Bihar Shatabdi Private Tube Well Scheme will be given to those farmers of Bihar who are not financially capable of boring or installing tube wells, but now they will also be able to improve the irrigation system for farming through this scheme.
• Through the private tube well scheme, farmers will be able to get subsidy for installing tube wells or boring on their private land.
• Bihar government has implemented Bihar Niji Nalkup Yojana for all the blocks of Bihar state, that is, any farmer of Bihar state can apply for this scheme.
• For the Bihar Private Tube Well Scheme, the Bihar government gives a grant of up to ₹ 15000 at the rate of ₹ 100 per foot to the farmers for getting boring done on their agricultural land.
• But at some places water does not come out at medium depth, so if boring is done to medium depth, then in this situation, a maximum subsidy of ₹ 35000 is provided to the farmer by the Bihar State Government at the rate of ₹ 183 per foot.
• By applying in this scheme, you will get subsidy from the government on boring, so that you can install boring even if you have less land.

Eligibility for Private tube well scheme application

• The farmer applying should be a resident of Bihar.
• The farmer should be progressive and interested.
• A minimum of 16 percent farmers belonging to Scheduled Caste and 1 percent belonging to Scheduled Tribe will be selected in each district.
• In case of non-availability of Scheduled Tribes, this 1 percent will be added to the 16 percent of Scheduled Castes and will be 17 percent. Separate arrangements will be made to account for their grants.
• Preference will be given to small/marginal farmers.
• The farmer should have a minimum of 0.40 acres (40 decimal) of cultivable land.
• The grant will be admissible to a farmer only for one boring and pump set.
• This scheme is applicable in every district of Bihar, hence every small marginal or economically weak farmer can apply online.
